As of right now Kingda Ka is down. A few weeks ago the ride was struck by lighting and that strike has done a number on the electrical system of the ride. Apparently, the sensors and gear system are amlfunctioning as a result.
The ride is very prone to "technical difficulties" and has no set re-opening date. If you know Kingda Ka, then you know it coule be down the whole summer, a month, or just do this every week!
Well I don't plan on going back to GADV any time soon. Thanks for the update. ^Tru. See it really doesn't phase me like it would someone who can only go there once or twice a year because I have a season pass. I have been on it hundreds of times and if it's down, it's no big deal to me...
