Today, Cedar Point annouced its 2010 project, Shoot the Rapids. The log flume returns, but better themed. It's not a record breaker in any aspect, (85' 1st hill) but it looks like fun for the whole family.
Builder: IntaRide Ride time: 3 minutes Ride Length: 2100' 10 boats with lap bar restraints.
Personally, I can't wait to ride this the coming season. How about you?

because of CP's stupidity, they now, NO LONGER have the most roller coasters in the world. you've allowed this tie with SFMM, and now they are going to overtake CP. biggest flop ever. they wouldve been better off removing a coaster and putting a new one in if they were going to keep the count even!
post that on facebook, not here. Cedar Point needed more people to go on water rides, and this should get attendance way higher on thunder canyon and Snake river. "They got rollercoasters that rollercoast in the dark!"

I am not upset because I kind of knew in the back of my head that it wasn't going to be a roller coaster. The park was just to relaxed for it to be a coaster. However, I am a little confused. You remove a log flume to place Maverick and then you build a log flume where you could put a nice sized coaster. White Water Landing obviously had low throughput so what makes this ride so different!?
Cedar Point is running out of room for new coasters.

i am complaining on facebook, but thats not enough for me Ohio is never really a hotter place either. it rains alot and isnt hot. shoot the rapids is just a relaxing ride. its been 2 months after CP's cryptic messages and exciting us for NOTHING. they lead us to think it was a coaster by purpose, now i am so angry with them....just..........RGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
they never lead us to believe it was a coaster, there were hints about manufacturers, but not about what kind of ride. "They got rollercoasters that rollercoast in the dark!"

I don't think so, I think they wanted to not just have 2 water rides in the park, but also wanted to wait until maverick gained some following before building a new ride "They got rollercoasters that rollercoast in the dark!"
