Last Sunday I went over to Knott's for a few hours to get some rides in and take pictures. While Xcelerator was closed, I still enjoyed a fun day of no lines.
In the parking lot... The fat one couldn't quite keep up Not quite You don't want to know what it looked like for me to get this picture So I took advantage of it and got as many pictures possible Too bad none of them turned out good Where's the other side of the cobra roll? Some zoom HERE THEY COME!!! Oh, wrong ride If you were at Knott's that day and you saw some guy running around Silver Bullet's layout taking pictures, that was me Because you can never get enough pictures of Silver Bullet... Jaguar peacefully passes by Monte was my first ride of the year Hmmmm The Boardwalk is so empty without it Skipped Boomerang But that's just common sense Who rides it anyway? (besides the GP) Is it just me or is the track uneven...? Someone has a belly button piercing yes they do! Demon Drop > Screamin' Swing It's so popular Ghostrider "raped" me, as some of the nerdiest coaster enthusiasts would say Not anymore My favorite part of the ride So then I went back over to Silver Bullet... This was 50% fail Silver Bullet...over the trees...! Back around the park There's this new soccer game thing, fun to watch What Knott's looks like on a Sunday When Perilous Plunge is open in January you know you're in SoCal Supreme Scream at night ftw CATCH CAR!! Man, Xcelerator looks like its slow decaying! Paint is wearing away, and it just looks like its being left to die ;(. But amazing shots of Silver Bullet, would love to have them as a wallpaper. "They got rollercoasters that rollercoast in the dark!"

great report! loved all the close shots of silver bullet! but man oh man xcelerator looks like its met its death. thats really so sad for such a great ride......
Thanks for the report! Some great shots from Silver Bullet! And Xcelerator really needs some paint, maybe they could paint it while it's SBNO. The best things in life... go upside down.
Xcelerator is not looking good, I agree, but unfortunately it doesn't look like new paint is happening this time. To update you all on the ride, a lot of what is needed to be fixed is finally being worked on and the ride should be open in less than two months.
I heard they are putting a fence around the launch track, but that really doesn't fix the solution as to why it snapped along with people on the ride...
