We have received numerous reports of blueprints on site at Six Flags Great Adventure. These blue prints reveal that Six Flags Great Adventure will be home to Chang. We have learned this from an unamed source in management and were shocked to learn the details as we were talking about it our last time there.

Apparently both of the blueprints have Chang, the stand up coaster from Kentucky Kingdom coming to Six Flags Great Adventure. However, one blueprint will cost the park more money. Therefore, they have opted for blueprint one which is to remove The Great American Scream Machine and replace it with Chang. We have learned that this upcoming week is the last week for The Great American Scream Machine and anyone wishing to ride it should head to the park.

Blueprint two had the park placing Chang out by Congo Rapids, however, it would cost more money the placing it in a spot already home to a coaster.

Which leads me to believe that the park will begin dismantling Scream Machine as soon as it closes.

Now we have all heard Chang is heading to Six Flags Great America, however, eye brows raise when the park already has a stand up coaster. Which doesn't make any sense in the park having two stand up coasters? So this could very well be true. Six Flags Great Adventure used to be home to Shockwave a stand up coaster near the front of the park. It was later taken out and re-located to numerous parks.

If this is true which it most likely is, it will be a big deal just like the Big Bad Wolf. Mainly because most beginners to the roller coaster world have begun their love of coasters on The Great American Scream Machine. Plus it is a nostalgic Arrow Dynamics looping coaster containing 7 inversions. In 1989 The Great American Scream Machine broke records including fastest, tallest, highest loop, and most inversions. It was later beat by Magnum XL-200 located at Cedar Point.

Not 100% sure, but it is definitely worth posting as the rumors for Big Bad Wolf were true. Plus like stated above, the coaster is not going to Six Flags Great America just because of the sheer fact of two stand up coasters in one park? Doesn't make any sense....

I definitely see this happening. Especially after Big Bad Wolf was taken out. It seems Arrows are becoming obsolete.

I'm pretty sure that this rumor is true. I loved Gasm since my first ride. It is the reason Gadv has such an amazing collection today. It's going to hurt the Gadv skyline A LOT with out it's graceful loops. I'm really sad.

A stand-up at Gadv is honestly STUPID. We are trying to be better than Cedar Point not equal. If it was put over by Congo (hopefully with a different color since we already have 2 yellow beemers over there) it would have been better because we couldve kept Gasm, raised our coaster count to 14, and who doesn't love a coaster by the water. This is one stupid ass move for Gadv.

^I agree 100% I think they should place the ride somewhere else rather then removing a coaster. We have went from removing flat rides to removing coasters!

Man, I cant wait to see what is going to happen to the coaster that revived me as an enthusiast (AKA: Vortex at KI). Until I rode that, I was a chicken. That coaster paved the way for Millennium Force for me. Its a sad fact that most Arrow looping coasters are becoming out-dated compared to B&M or Intamin.

I just hope Gadv is getting flats next year as well. Those are what we need.

Yep, they've got lots of good coasters, but no flats like CP has. Ya see, cedar point has S&S combo towers, screamin' swing, and a giant frisbee. Plus they have all of there coasters. Gadv just has the coasters and no flats.

Its a shame though, Great Adventure needs flat rides not a B&M standup. Male anatomies can't handle B&M standups, so it wont be very popular IMO.
